Matthew Sharp

Matthew Sharp is an English key second assistant director. His career spans several decades, during which he has contributed to numerous high-profile films and television series. Sharp's expertise has encompassed various roles, including second assistant director, assistant director, unit manager, and set runner, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft. He is widely recognised for his pivotal role as the key second assistant director on Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017). In addition to his behind-the-scenes contributions, Sharp made a brief on-screen appearance in the same film, portraying Resistance Trench Sergeant 'Salty.' Throughout his career, Sharp has collaborated on a diverse array of films across various genres. His notable credits include Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), and No Time to Die (2021).
